What happens when theater meets sports?

Impro Sportas 2025 invites you to a one-of-a-kind event where the art of improvisation becomes a playing field. There’s no script, no pre-written lines – only the live moment, creativity, and team spirit. On September 26–27, at the VU Theater Hall, six improv teams will face off, ready to astonish the audience and each other.

What is improvisational theater?
Improv is a form of theatre where everything is created in the moment. The actors have no script – they rely on their imagination, their partners on stage, and reactions from the audience. Each performance is unique and unrepeatable: stories, characters, and situations spring up instantly and never happen the same way again. This means the viewers are not just watching passively; they become witnesses and even contributors to the creative process. Every laugh and every reaction helps shape the show together with the team on stage.

How will the competition work?

• September 26, 6:00 PM – Preliminary Rounds. Teams go head-to-head in the first stage. Get ready for lots of laughter, surprises, and a touch of suspense – only the best will make it to the finals!
  
  
• September 27, 5:00 PM – Finals & Awards. Day Two brings the grand finale. The winners of Impro Sportas 2025 will be crowned, and the atmosphere will be even more electrifying as the competition reaches its peak.

📍 Location: VU Theater Hall (Universiteto St. 3, Vilnius). Admission is free, so everyone is welcome to cheer on the teams and enjoy an evening of improv!

• NErepetavę – A team whose philosophy is simple: no rehearsal – only spontaneous creativity and action on stage.
  
  
• Kintamieji – “The Variables,” a troupe whose performances are never the same – everything constantly changes with the moment.
  
  
• Out of Da Blue – Masters of the unexpected, capable of provoking both laughter and tears in a single scene.
