On Monday, October 6th, at 18:00, the Aula Parva Café (Universiteto St. 3) will host a unique storytelling workshop led by Milda Varnauskaitė, a professional storyteller and pioneer of contemporary storytelling in Lithuania.

Storytelling is more than entertainment — it is a performing art with deep cultural roots across the world, and it has also been growing as a practice at Vilnius University. Since 2018, the VU Culture Centre has organized storytelling salons, live evenings where community members share personal stories face to face, instead of scrolling, clicking, or liking. These new workshops continue that tradition, offering not only a space for attentive listening but also a stage for developing storytellers.

The purpose is simple yet powerful: the ability to shape thoughts into a clear narrative, to speak confidently before diverse audiences, and to inspire others is what defines tomorrow’s leaders.

During this hands-on workshop, participants will:

  • Discover the art and genre of live storytelling

  • Practice in a safe and supportive environment

  • Grow as part of a community where listeners become storytellers

Participation is open exclusively to Vilnius University students and staff, and prior registration is required.
