Vilnius University (VU) Culture Centre and the CAMINO project invite you to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Lithuania's accession to the European Union at Vilnius University! The daily program is full of various events.

The Europe Day celebration at Vilnius University is implemented within the European Union-funded project "CAMINO: Twenty years of cultural enrichment in reunified Europe".

International project "CAMINO" flashmob "Ode to Joy"

Flashmob "Ode to joy" is a moment of unity, during which the youth of the seven countries that joined the European Union in 2004 will come together with the help of the Internet for a spectacle that breaks down borders and unites cultures. Using the universal language of music and dance, participants from each nation will demonstrate their unique interpretations of the European anthem "Ode to Joy", thus commemorating two decades of membership in the European Union. This telebridge event will not only highlight each country's different tastes and creativity, but will also serve as an important reminder of our shared values ​​and ties. As part of the international project CAMINO: Twenty Years of Cultural Enrichment in Reunified Europe, this event demonstrates the power of cooperation and harmony in fostering a sense of collective belonging on the world stage.

Opening of the international student photo exhibition "Inspired by Europe".

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Lithuania's membership in the European Union (EU), Vilnius University (VU) opens a photo exhibition "Inspired by Europe", which reveals unique insights into the identity, lifestyle, values, hopes, and dreams of modern Europe from the perspective of students. The exhibition includes 11 works from each country that joined Europe in 2004 and Ukraine. We invite you to visit!

VU Kinetic Theatre performance premiere "Hommo in Maxima" | PREMIERE

During the XXV International Theatre Forum, May 9, at 6 p.m. the premiere of the VU Kinetic Theater - the movement performance "Hommo in Maxima" will take place in the VU Theater Hall. The performance is intended to mark Lithuania's 20 years of membership in the European Union in a theatrical form and review Lithuanian society's development during these two decades. The performance is part of the activities of the CAMINO project - the main event of the Europe Day celebration at Vilnius University.
